The case subject: Remingtom 700 VTR

Installed a SR bottom metal detachable mag

This was my first one and this has the factory plastic stock. It had a ton of extra material in it.
Plus no receiver bedding or support of any type just soft plastic.

Here is what I started with

Milled out stock: (note old CNC Controls. They will be replaced this week yay. Just a side note :) )

Drilled and installed Pillar bedding that came with the bottom metal:

    Final product:

Nice work.... It just seems like such a waste to go through all that and have more money in just the mag than the stock is worth. That's not even counting the bottom metal.

Either way you do good things.

Agreed, but it will always transfer over to another stock if he wants to upgrade later.
Got the cost of purchasing the bottom metal out of the way. and inletting was much cheaper than a nice stock.

I did mine by hand!! I swear I had 30 hours getting it right. I would not suggest doing one with out a mill.
