Has anyone ever removed the end cap from the back of the receiver on a SIG 556 pistol? If so, how did you do it and how tight was it torqued on? I got my form 1 back for my SBR and I need to put a stock on it. I'm thinking of making some sort of spanner wrench to remove it. Thanks

Check out the "Sig Rifles" subsection of the "Armory" on ar15.com
I've never taken it off but I know when people put different stocks on their Sig rifles the buffer tubes are practically stuck on. They use a lot of a loc-tite like substance. I'm not sure if this is true with the pistols though.

I AM ALSO IN THE SBR PROCESS FOR MY P556, I MADE A WRENCH FOR IT, THE END PLUG IS VERY TIGHT, I'M THINKING ABOUT MAKING AND SELLING THE WRENCH, I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS A LARGE ENOUGH DEMAND.
