Sig 226

A buddy at work has found an old Sig 226 9mm for sale. It apears to be made in late 80's or early 90 due to says made in West Germany and not as just Germany. Former Police pistol clean gun, barrel good, just a lot of holster wear marks. Comes with one magazine. They want $450. Is this a good deal. I know little about Sigs.

Very good deal depending on condition. The West German Sigs are very desirable in the Sig world. Some feel much better quality than current production runs. Don't know if that is true, but seems to be the belief.

I agree with paddling_man...fair deal if that is what you want. It has to be in A-1 condition at that price. Used is used.

i just paid 499 (plus 4000 business cards i printed for free) for a 88 made german 226 great shape(i think like new), with box paperwork, 2 mags, and the factory target

I would get it for this price. I love my Sigs and having an older model like this would be great.

I've seen police turn in 226s at last knob creek... 375. Had a selection of three or four. They also had a couple of 228 for 400. I've got about 425 in a two-tone, early 90s west german 226.

Thought the OP said $350. Still wouldn't be scared off at that price if it is in great condition.
