That's just dumb. If acid is good enough for fingerprints, it's good enough for serial numbers!

I don't know what kind of acid you've been taking but the stuff I get does nothing to my fingerprints.

The only effective thing I've found for fingerprints is a table saw. It's not worth it, just get some of that brush-on bandaid stuff.

Give the guy some slack, from a serious perspective. One should have reasonable time to check for themselves to see if a gun is "HOT". I personally don't know Joe from Bob and wouldnt trust them "just because" it just doesnt work that way anymore.
