Late last night, I was listening to the scanner app on my iPad at the South Eastern Indiana SAFE-T and Indiana Air station. I'm not entirely sure what departments or agencies are all heard over this (I think I heard some bleed over from a CB conversation at one point).
I hear a call out for a prowler on a porch. A few minutes later, I hear the responding officers asking if the claimant actually saw a person or just heard a noise.
Dispatch says that she saw a shadow the size of a person through her blinds.
Officer 2: "There's nothing back here except a cat and a couple of rabbits."
Officer 1: "She definitely didn't see a rabbit go across her porch." Heavy on the sarcasm.
Officer 1 to dispatch: "...some type of mace or a stun gun?"
Dispatch: "She's no longer on the tx, but she's expecting you to come up there."
I know he was asking about his own safety, but at the time it just struck me as funny that he was asking for some ulterior motive. He was bringing the handcuffs, after all.
