I was at the Lafayette show two weeks ago and only saw one. The guy let me fondle it after he informed me that it was NOT for sale. They feel really nice, would like to pick one up eventually.

The only one I saw was $799 from a dealer, nothing like charging $50 more than the MRSP... I did find myself a nice S&W Commander but still keeping my eye open for an SR1911 at a reasonable price.

MSRP is $799 on them.

I'm looking for one and it seems to be somewhat hard to come by, does anyone remember seeing one at the 1500? If so, any chance you remember which booth had it or at least where it was in the building?

I was in Freedom Firearms last wednesday and they had one for $799, also Big R in warsaw for the same price.

I would like a SR1911 eventually too. But I'm gonna wait them out. When Remington introduced their 1911 onto the scene same thing happened and now they are everywhere. So, gotta be patient.
