I am posting this as a favor to my brother in law. He is on active duty stationed in Quantico, Va. He is willing to help with any arangments to get the gun here as soon as a someone wants it.
What: M1 Garand (4 digit serial number)

It was built in March 1938 as a Gas Trap gun. These are very rare, they were only built until June 1940. It has been rebuilt as trophy gun, meaning its no longer a gas Trap gun. It has a Springfield Armory barrel action and trigger assesmbly. Not sure who built the stock. The trigger assembly has been engraved with the winning information from the shooting competition it was won at. Its in good condition. Barrelled at .308, doesnt have the magazines with it. Has not been fired since being rebuilt by a certified Marine Corps Armorer. It is fully functional and I can send more pictures if you are interested.
