Any money order will do. I got one from Western Union, I think that's what it was, across the street from the city/county building in Indianapolis when I applied for mine this summer. Got the LTCH so it went through.

If you have to go to the post office to mail the application, why don't you just buy a money order there and send your application in a manner that you can track it to be sure it was delivered.

I have always sent payments for guns, gun permits, or any other type of applications having to do with firearms via overnight mail. I want to know when the clock should start ticking on timed items.

I sent mine in with a Western Union MO that I got at Kroger.

I guess I'll find out in a week or so if everything went through.

Since you have to go to the post office anyway, why not just get it there?

Yep. 3-5 bucks is worth knowing it got there and in a timely fashion.
