You can throw an unloaded rifle but not the same as throwing an unloaded handgun. I think the javelin method is preferable.:):

haha, if I ever move to a town or city, they're going to look at me weird when I unload long guns from the car for awhile

as long as the rifles are unloaded, they are good.....right?

Generally speaking, there isn't even that requirement. Note, that passing through a "school zone" (within 1000 ft. of a school) and don't have a state issued license or meet one of a number of other criteria, then "locked up and unloaded" is required.

Nobleville officer said that load or unload long guns are ok to transported in the car. Does not have to be cased or out of reach of the people in the car. I wish I had a camera when we unloaded the moving van when we moved to Noblesville. Four big Browning and Canon safes came off. The looks I got were priceless.

Are you a shop or private owner? That's a lot of safes.

You know... someone just won the powerball here in Indy... lucky ^!@$%*

Yeah I heard on WIBC the winning ticket was sold on Monument Circle somewhere... I don't play the lottery, but I am somehow always envious of the winners. Think of the armory you could build up.... Burt Gummer's basement comes to mind.

Burt FTW! Has to be his basement from Tremors 1 though.
