I just got one of these, it seems like a great scope except it has a slight halo around the edge of view, really noticeable against a white wall. It seems to be there all the time, regardless of zoom, objective adjustment, eyepiece focus, head position, etc. None of my other scopes have this.

Is this a common problem with these? Did I just get a bad one?

Edited to ad pic. Scope in one hand, phone in the other.

I don't have the Freedom model, just a VX-R with the Firedot 4 reticle so saying that mine is nothing but crystal clear glass like I expect from Leupold probably doesn't help.

I would contact Leupold and see if they can help you. Can you get a picture of it?

The part you use is clear. . . . Is the Freedom model one of their budget lines?
