Ran 13 miles today in 2:02:00. Starting to taper for the Mini Marathon in two weeks. Goal time will be under 2:00:00. I also ran the Race to the Cure in 23:06, my first 5K. Started out too strong and had to recover costing me some time.

Just today I was able to move my belt in another notch.

    4 notches in 4 months.

    woo hoo!

    -J-

While I haven't really kept track of belt notches (and can't simply "count" where I am since I've trimmed off the end of the belt--advantage of solid leather) 40 lbs in 5 months is certainly worth something. :D

Tomorrow, weather permiting, I plan on flying south for an hour'ish and walk back to camp... With a lot of crap I hope I do not have to use in my pack.

To light to fight, to heavy to run... Light Infantry!

We had the final weigh-in for our Biggest Loser Competition here in the office this morning. I won with a loss of 36.2 pounds in 11 weeks. Was 12.8%. Sure do feel a lot lighter.

It has been great so far HeftyLefty. I highly recomend Krav Maga Worldwide on E96th, great instructors, facility, training and fellow student's.
Also if you would like to try it just come on in and you can get a free 3 day pass to see if it is what you are looking for all they make you do is sign a waiver.

I've been out of the gym for about 7 weeks. I've lost about 15lbs in that time. I know a lot of it was water since I stopped taking creatine and I was eating like a horse because my focus was increasing strength.

I've been looking into a 20 rep squat program. It looks agonizing but the results are phenomenal. Basically you take your 10 rep max and gut it out for a set of 20, then do a few assistance exercises. It's the old squats and milk program that bodybuilders did before Arnold and the steroid era. It may be hard to do on a cut, since you really need to eat at a caloric excess in order to keep gaining and recover properly.

My goal is to get back down to my "adult lowest" weight of around 165 pounds or so. At about 184 right now.

I used to weigh a little over 400 (not a typo) and lost it all down to about 162 or so, but over the winter gained back about 25-30.

so any of you guys who've tried the P90X, I'd like to give that a shot but I don't see anywhere on the website where it tells me how much it actually costs? Anyone able to help me out with that info?
