    I have done jobs that felt that way, but I have been fortunate enough to also have two decent paying jobs that I could not wait to get back to and always felt put upon to have to leave work.

    I wish that kind of beloved job for everyone!
    It's not the job, it's just the commute. And there's just no good reason that we have to be on site to do what we do.

    Got it.
    Commutes are always a wildcard.

    My wife's commute is also a nightmare.
    Two more years and she can join me in retirement with full pension and insurance.

    If she was to retire today, the pension would be dramatically reduced and her continued med insurance would not apply.
