It is, but the smoked turkey is worth it.

I learned that myself. That's how I did mine for past 4 years. Even got a stand-up pellet smoker which made it easier. This year, my sister is in charge. Don't know how she will be cooking it. Find out when I get there. Gonna head over there to help out.
