During the last 9mm shortage I ran across a box of OlymIc Ammuntion. Made in Greece. Kilkis, which is a city in the north. Anyway it is 124grain. Orange and white box. It does not appear to have sealer on the primer. Printing in Engish, Greek, and French

    Anyone ever use it?
Is it NATO spec? ( it is not marked so).
Anyway I figured I would ask the INGO ammo crowd.

Thanks. I will save it for function testing a new carry gun. Hoping to do so this holiday season.
What made it junk? Dirty? inconsistent loads? embers flying downrange? Smoky? All of that?

Poor accuracy, inconsistent loads that vary from near squib to HOT, loose and/or canted bullets, just generally poor quality. Brass was so bad one primer would almost fall out, the next needed extra effort to decap, necks off center and thickness variation. I fired about half a box and the rest got the bullet pulled hoping it could be reloaded but ended up scrapping all of it.

It probably rioted every time someone suggested austerity.

Good to know. Like I said I can use for a function test. One thing, if it converts my Dollars to Drachmas I will be pissed off.

I have shot the 9mm Olympic fodder. Dirty, one shot sounds normal, another sounds like it didn't even clear the barrel, inaccurate, and a couple of rounds did not feed into my Beretta that eats everything. Save your money.

Also, I think that olympic 9mm has very hard primers. Some striker fired guns may need two or three hits before a round will fire......
