I believe they make a diesel specific. That one will work with kerosene no problem.

Your question has peaked my curiosity as to your project.

a cabin air heater,aka diesel air heater. for a mobile shop.. K1 burns cleaner and less smell.. the tank vent leaks if the tank is full and fuel sloshes enough..

Guys in off road buggies run long vent lines with a loop in them and a inline fuel filter and/or air filter on the end. Done correctly they work in a 180 degree roll.

unfortunately the vent is also the fill cap... i saw the foam and I thought it might work if it was compatible.

K1 is just #2 diesel more refined.

From least to most refined:
#2 diesel
#1 heating oil
#1 K-1
Jet fuel

i'd do the tank to reduce overall movement of the liquid..
