    As a former NYer(Thank GOD), you can't even own a gun in the five boroughs without jumping through almost impossible hoops.

    You are correct. I can't even believe some of the NY and NJ laws. And I'm dealing with MA laws.

    Sure, hard tax the ammo, say $1.00 a round, would cost you $50 a box tax, to the regular store price. That would ruin your range time.
