ok. so my very first and most favorite forum ever went "female male attractors" up, awhile ago. but at teh time we were all "working" on a new knife. i had no intent of ordering the knife because i had recently (then) become unemployed and such... so i didn't sign up. i had no intent.

so fast forward a few months and i get an email from a pipe hitter on the project about its progress......... as in, BOHICA! still... cool! but i'm not in...

so... earlier this week i say to myself: "self. you are mighty pretty. so how about you THINK about buying that knife. just maybe call on the pricing..."

so i did.


knife goes outbound monday via fedex.

The best naked defense is a good naked offense. Wait... no. That doesn't sound right.

the handle was left bare for a few reasons:

cost.

customisation.

end user.

not everyone needs the same thing. some need thin.... some need cord wrapped, some g10.... some people won't care because they won't use it.... no slabs gives everyone options............

it started life as a SLCC variation..... but this was an older design which came to realisation when this project started.

i am not going to put slabs on it.... maybe some skateboard tape.... i dunno........

the biggest concern was a) legal beagel for our German friends (thats how the whole ZM got rolling. german friendly EDC) and b) USEABLE! no fluffy interninja stuff.......

i thought it was just going to be stonewashed (my favorite) but it ended up striped... and i could have done without the triangles, but ah well.... every knife has ROUND holes.........

i felt like the Strider Badlands is just a little too long, but it is a sweet piece of metal and i love the handle, nothing fancy, all business!
