Very interesting that the US Army Corps of Engineers is blocking the flow of the Missouri River which is contributing to the problem! I wonder what other methods the current "administration" is using to destroy this great country?

I'm not sure of the stats and the degree of it, but it does seem to still be rather dry around here. You're right, this is not good now and if it continues, doesn't bode well for next year either.

#1 the river was already pretty much shut down this summer due to the drought... it didn't destroy our economy then and it won't destroy it now. It will only delay some shipping for a few months.

#2 this happens almost every winter, its just more severe this year because of the lingering effects of the drought...

The administration is not doing this to purposefully destroy the heart of the country's economy, they are doing this as part of a dredging operation and other precautionary measures

Equating this to destroying the country because they're effectively shutting down some barge traffic from moving on the Mississippi R. is like equating a highway repair project that closes 1 of 2 lanes of traffic to doing the same. Realistically, this is nothing more than a "highway repair project" that has been complicated by some lingering issues mother nature threw at us this summer... it has to be done at some point so when do you do it? Do you wait until it completely impassable to do the work or do you just do it little by little...
