Yes it is, but by IN law it is a pistol. Because it doesn't have a stock. (the case law can be found on here if you look)

    "Handgun"
Sec. 6. "Handgun" means any firearm:
    (1) designed or adapted so as to be aimed and fired from one (1) hand, regardless of barrel length; or
    (2) any firearm with:
    (A) a barrel less than sixteen (16) inches in length; or
    (B) an overall length of less than twenty-six (26) inches."

So in IN, it is a handgun. Legal, yes. In your home and on your property, and or securely transported to range, and or private property. Legal to carry around? Not without a Licence to Carry.

Is it longer than 26" (I don't know, just asking)?

If it is longer than 26" and has a barrel longer than 18" then if you carry it you need:

    1. A LTCH.

    2. To be hotter than Milla Jovovich.

    No.

    No.

Haha, I read your link. While yes, you CAN fire a pistol gripped 12 GA shotgun with one hand, I would hardly say that it is "designed or adapted TO BE fired with one hand". This seems to be some attorney that doesn't know anything about guns, assuming since it has a pistol grip that the guy put it on there to fire one handed.
