We had another good night at the range. I have noticed that some of the regulars have actually gotten better than their scores would indicate. That is, they are shooting much tighter groups than they used to even if they are not in the higher scoring ring on the target. One of the fellows shooting a 2" 38 special is shooting most of his shots in the black at 50 ft. which is great in my book and it seems the guys shooting 1911's are doing very well indeed.
Well here are the scores for tonight.
Wallace Pulley shot a 238-1X in .45 and a 193-1X in 9mm.
Dave Hearsh shot a 229-4X in .45 and a 144 in .38.
OK! I'll admit it, it was very, very nice outside tonight. So if you have an outdoor range available to use then it was probably just as nice tonight there as it was indoors at BGF&R but we did have a good time.
Well Wallace Pulley was our high scorer tonight. He had a score of
223 and 167 in .45 caliber.
Rob Voland had a score 219 in 9mm and 206 in .45
Dave Hearsh shot a 209 in .45 and 204 in .38 cal. 2" revolver. Way to go Dave.
Jeremy Hinds shot 205 and 198 in .45 cal. and
Ron Hess shot a 87 in 9 mm. He only shot one time around.
Well everyone had a good time and we'll see you again next week.
Oh, Oh, We had a malfunction at the range tonight. The blowers and the A/C quit this afternoon and it got quite stuffy but the store was not effected. The repair guy was there before we left tonight and was working on the problem so hopefully it will be working tomorrow. Well that's how it goes with anything mechanical.
Jeremy Hinds took the match tonight with a 224 and a 211 in .45 cal.
Wallace Pulley was next with a 219-1X in .45 and a 154 in 9mm
Rob Voland shot a 217-2X in .45 and a 188-2X in 9mm
Hi guys and girls;
We had another good time at the range tonight, the A/c and blowers were all working and it was very comfortable, but then I'll have to admit that it was very nice outside also.
We had another new shooter join us tonight and I hope he had a good time and will feel like coming back.
Wallace Pulley was our high scorer tonight at 233-3x in .45 and a 136-1x in 9mm.
Rob Voland had a 206-2x in 9mm and a 202 in .45
Jeremy Hinds had a 204 in .45 and a 68 in 9mm.
Kasey Drury (our new shooter) shot a 176 and a 141-1x in 9mm.
We had a good time at the range again tonight, I even got to shoot a round. I brought my S&W 1006, 10 mm and let the guys shoot a couple of rounds with it. It's not really a target gun but Rob Voland did very well with it with a pin-wheel in the 10 ring and a 8 just below it.
Well anyway, on to the scores.
Wallace Pulley was our high scorer tonight with a 252 in .45 and a 181-1X in 9 mm.
Tom Dobbs was next with a 250-2X and 214-2X in .22 cal. and Rob Voland had a 217 in 9 mm and a 195-2X in .45
I didn't get the scores posted for 8-19-14 and this week I was still in Columbus, Indiana at match time last night due to my work schedule this week.
Last week one of the fellows had a malfunction with his new handgun and it didn't want to fire and since he didn't have another one with him, he just gave up for the night. Hope he got it fixed.
Anyway, last weeks scores were,
Tom Dobbs shot a 253-3X and a 235-3X in .22 cal. and Rob Voland shot a 243-2X in .45 and a 214-2X in 9mm
Wallace Pulley had to work overtime so he didn't compete.
Now last night, 8-26-14, I have no idea who showed up or what the scores were so someone else will have to fill us in.
Hopefully I'll see all of you next week if my work schedule doesn't interfere again.
Hey, we had another good match last night.
We had five shooters and we all had a good time.
David Hearsh was our top scorer last night with 229-1X in 9 mm and 218-1X in .45 cal.
next was
Tom Dobbs with 221-4X and 206 1X in .22 cal.

then
Wallace Pulley with a 202-1X in .45 and a 166-1X in 9 mm
followed by
Ron Hess who was still having problems with his handgun but still
shot a 175-2X and 139 in spite of it.
Ruth Williams was able to be with us last night, she got some time off from work for a change.
For those of you who knew her as I did, Greta, Gary and Janet Bergs long time hunting companion passed away this last week.
She wasn't my dog but I considered her a good friend and we played together when I had time, she will be missed by many.
Well,
Tom Dobbs was our high scorer this evening with a 230-1X and 224 in .22 cal.
Ruth Williams shot a 192-2X and 216 in .22.cal.
Both shooters had pinwheels, dead center in the X-ring.
Well, everybody have a great week and we'll see you next week.
