Latest 1911 project. A little pic heavey

I hope I am not boring people with this stuff, but I am having fun. I am however getting to the point where I am not taking pictures of everything I do
just the ones that stand out a little more

STI 2011 rebuild.

this gun had seen some use, and the new owner wanted it re chambered in 9mm

I installed a KKM Gunsmith fit Barrel New Brazos cone comp threaded the barrel, cut the chamber, cut and fit barrel hood and lugs.

Tri topped the slide and comp and put some Buick teardrop style holes in the slide along with some lightening cuts as well. oh and the slide had been cut for a red dot and there wasn't enough meat to install a typical racker so I dovetailed and fabricated from a block of aluminum a racker that fit in the existing cuts

Let's see oh yea and I Cerakoted the gun in Titanium.

I test fired it today, I only had 1 thing to tweak so I feel pretty good about it

As soon as I get all the pieces rounded up, AllenM will be building my Colt/Caspian pistol..... Although it might have to wait until after I get back from a Bahamas cruise with the wife.

Looks great. The tear drop cuts in the slide are the bomb. I could look at that kind of stuff all day, so please keep 'em coming!

I think I want the Browning cuts on the 10mm when you can work it it. I've been busy lately but hopefully I can make it out there soon. Excellent work my friend!!!
