Thought I'd post this to help out some who are having trouble with the tenses and spelling of the word "Knife"
Knife - singular
Knives - plural
Knifed –verb (used with object)
1. to apply a knife to; cut, stab, etc., with a knife.
2. to attempt to defeat or undermine in a secret or underhanded way.
Knifed –verb (used without object)
3. to move or cleave through something with or as if with a knife: The ship knifed through the heavy seas.
—Idiom
4.under the knife, in surgery; undergoing a Medical operation: The patient was under the knife for four hours.
Not trying to be a dick, I just don't want to be the only educated hillbilly in the room
