Dial calipers. Measure the group outside to outside, subtract the bullet diameter.
And if you knee jerk and say "shouldnt you subtract 2x the bullet diameter?" you are wrong. Subtracting ONE diameter gives you half and half of the two edge shots so you get a center to center measurement.

I did that and then quickly realized my mistake about 10 seconds later.

Range Buddy, as awkward as the interface is, is what I was looking for. I know how to measure impacts with calipers. What I especially wanted was a quick way to compute the POI average in relation to POA, which Range Buddy does.

For those of us unfamiliar with these programs, does a large group that is centered around POA score better than a small group that is all to one side of POA?

Here are two screen shots (not mine, I just found them on Google). The first is BallisticX, the second is Range Buddy. The apps don’t score anything, they merely give you an accurate measure of group size. :) Notice that BallisticX gives “Adjustment To Zero,” or ATZ so you can fine-tune your zero if desired. I’ve only used BallisticX, but they both look like good, useful apps.
