Just curious if the SHTF, and you could take only two long guns along with a pistol what would they be? Mine would be my 500, with both my 28", and 18.5" barrel. The next would be my AK.

870 and AR---Tough choice because my FAL carbine is a favorite but weight and ammo would be an issue. I can carry more 5.56 than 7.62 and more people will have 5.56 if I need to "borrow" some.

I can't count, but I have 4 long guns. who's gonna argue? I guess I'd have my wife take two of them. Then we could each have 2.

depends on the situation. My mav 88 with 7 shot tube and folding stock would be one. But otherwise would depend on the situation. If foreign invasion, then SKS, until I get an AR or AK. Otherwise prob my heavy barreled 10/22 since I can carry more ammo, its lighter, and deadnuts accurate. And for sidearm my springfield 1911 milspec.

While I was tempted to pick one of my high power rifles and AR's, I decided on these two. FHN police/tactical 12guage. With a 20" barrel, it can properly hurl buckshot or slugs. My CETME is durable, simple, and has a worldly time tested & proven design. While not an AR, it is capable of 200+ yard hunting shots as well as a .308 battle rifle with 20 round mags.

A 20 gauge and a 20 gauge. With the cast bullets, powder, and primers I have, that ammo supply will last a looooong time. Maybe a 20 gauge and the 22, lots of firepower for very little bulk.
