Need some info on handgun law.I live in Michigan(grew up in Indiana and can throw a rock across the stateline where I live now).If I have a revolver I legally own and is registered with the state of MI,can I sell it to an Indiana resident with a LTCH without doing a FFL transfer?Basically I'm just asking if he can hand me the money and I hand him the gun.He claims its legal but a second opinion can't hurt.Thanks.:dunno:

You have to be 21 to buy from a dealer...

Not exactly. That restriction is on the FFL, not the buyer or seller.

...do you have to be 21 to use an FFL?
    Nope.

FFL may not transfer a handgun to anyone under 21.

But I am not aware of any restriction keeping them from receiving a handgun from one under 21.

Going through a dealer is the same as buying you have to be 21. Even in Indiana personal transfers that do not need a dealer you need to be 21. Unless a parent or legal gaurdian is giving it to you.

    Incorrect.

As stated in IC 35-47-2-3 (g)(3), 18 is legal for personal handgun transfers in Indiana (and most other states).
