I've periodically searched here and elsewhere for a gunsmith to fit sambar stag grips to a 3rd gen Colt SAA. I talked to an SAA specialists in AZ a few
years ago but never shipped the gun because I wanted to stay local but if I gotta do it I will. Most of those guys want to work with the entire gun not just the grip frame. Also think there is plenty of meat on them. They are rather pricey grips so I don't want them screwed up.

Nice gun and grips, I've done a few myself and had some professionally done. It's something I would like to learn more about. This 1878 was done professionally and it shows.

I talked to the people at Kempf's gun shop in Michigan City some time back because they deal with cowboy action shooting.
They said people use a guy in Three Oaks Michigan for SAA work but I have yet to give him a call to talk to him.
