Speaking from experience, get a somewhat solid time frame for completion and firm price for the work and make SURE the person doing the job knows what you want.. If they are talented that means you are dealing with an artistic individual that may be a little difficult to work with. Ask me how I know

It's not difficult. Just take your time and be a little artsy!

Agreed. I just started playing around with stippling myself. Grab a couple ar grips to practicing on. Cheap 30-40$ wood burner from Wal Mart amd go to town.
