I got my gun permit in the mail yesterday and was wrong. They mailed me a 4 year permit not the lifetime. So I call the really rude lady at the state police and I tell her what has happened. So she tells me it will take a while to find your paper work I said ok no problem I can hold. Well after about a minute or so the lady comes back all nice and sweet and says yes sir you are correct we have messed up. She says I will send this back through and you will receive a new one. With a self addressed envelope to mail the 4 year one back. I said well I have 2 questions can I go ahead and cut the new one out and use it since my last one has now expired and she said yes. My second question was is it going to take 9 weeks to get this one as well since the last one took so long? She said O no sir it will be mailed by tomorrow. Makes you wonder if you already have a valid permit why did it take 9 weeks to get my new one but if they screw up I can get it mailed the same or next day? Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to make sure everyone has checked there dates to make sure its 100% correct. Thanks
