Funny that: I've been using Alliant ClayDot that I could pick up at a decent amount here and there in lieu of Hodgdon Clays because of availability. I was hesitant, so I loaded up equal amounts of my favorite .38 Special 148gr HBWC load: 25 with real Clays, 25 with ClayDot, same charge. Could not tell a difference, even with loading the cylinder with three each alternating. Accuracy of both loads seemed about equal. A chrono would be the tell all, but I did not have one at the time. I've switched to ClayDot only, think I still have a can of regular Clays somewhere.

power is back and the prices are up.
I was lucky enough to score an 8lb jug of Titegroup for $155 OTD at the Anderson show a few weeks ago.
    Pretty happy with that

Good to hear this confirmation. I picked up an 8# jug of ClayDot a couple months ago. Yet to load any of it.

I bought it from a guy up in Michigan. He runs a small business out of his home. He calls me when he he is ordering to see if I want anything and picks it up when he makes a run from his wholesaler. He mostly just stocks shotgun supplies.

Cool, thanks for the info, but I'm not planning to be anywhere north of Indy for at least two weeks. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I was in Michigan :):
