I went with the father-in-law yesterday morning. We caught a few bluegill on nightcrawlers, a couple crappie on minnows and the bass were hitting the Humpback Rebel pretty hard. I caught this on a minnow right next to the bank...

hit Bass Lake again Sunday afternoon.

Had 5 bass and 3 bluegill. Still bluegills wouldn't leave my white Senko alone.

Oldest son had 5 bass as well, think out biggest were around 2 pounds.

Still no big ones yet, but we're having fun trying. Lots of missed blowups on the buzzbaits at dark.

Need to get some muskie lures, as the lake is supposed to be good for them.

Was out last friday night with a friend. I caught mostly trees with a bass, a few crappie, bluegill and a big shiner. She caught a bass, a few bluegill and a ton of crappie. The crappie were hanging out in the shade of trees that overhung the water. One tree alone had 7 crappie under it.

    Great day at Waveland yesterday!

Went with a buddy from work, in his boat. He had me work the front of the boat. He fished exclusively for panfish from the back. I fished about half bass/half panfish.

Heres 2 of the four 'nice' bass I caught. As well as another 5 or 6 in the 14-16" range. :D

We would have had a really nice mess of crappie yesterday, but we decided to throw them back to catch another day. The crappie and blue gills were tearing up the minnows and bee moths yesterday. I had reeled in six or eight crappie and blue gills within the first fifteen minutes of fishing yesterday. My brother and I caught between 40-50 fish altogether.

do you fish McCormick Creek State Park?

I drive by there when we hit Bloomington.
I'm not positive, but I don't think there is anywhere to fish at McCormick's Creek.

Lots of good public fishing over there too! :yesway:
I've never been to Greene-Sullivan, but I know that there are a lot of lakes with all types of fish stocked in them.

I'll second that even though there is a creek that runs through the park that dumps into the White. I've just never heard of anyone fishing it. It's been a while since I've been in the park as well.

Has anyone been fishing down at dogwood this year

I haven't heard of anyone going there yet but since they are allowing gas motors/idle only I would suspect that the fishing will increase there. One of my friends and his dad were planning on taking their boat over there this weekend. I'll have to call him to find out if they ended up making it.

I called and spoke to the main office. I was informed that they had been catching fish prior to the cold front. She stated that they were catching redear, crappie and bluegill. Also stated that the bluegill were full of bloody eggs but that they were not on the bed as of last tuesday. She further stated that the water had been very high but that it was almost back to normal. If you hear anything please post it. I am planning on going down there on monday if it is not storming that morning.
