Just curious if anyone else has been seen the W. A. Jones Weapons Collection at the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum?
It's billed as the 3rd largest private arms collection in the country! (roughly 850 items displayed)
And it's in LAPORTE!
2405 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana
It's been a long while since I've been there, but it's certainly neat to see all of this stuff from all over the world! The guy died in 1921 and left his collection to the Historical Society. The cataloging of and displayed information of the items leaves a little to be desired, but it's still worth seeing. If I lived closer, I think that I'd volunteer my time to the museum so I could help research the pieces and get more information to present to the public. But if you're in the LaPorte area... Go see the collection!
