Ok, possible dumb question here. I'm not a gunsmith and I'm trying to make sure I don't mess up an excellent rifle.

I have a Remmington 700 5R Mil Spec that I put a B&C stock on last year. I had a local smith bed it for me. Shoots excellent!
I'm now planning to have it finished with a camo pattern. I'm wondering if the fact that it was bedded will matter to the process.
I plan to call the smith tomorrow, but curiosity/impatience has me asking the question now on the forum.

The Barrel is free, bedded at the base as recommended.

    Any thoughts?

Shouldn't be an issue. Tape is a must IMO to not raise the surface and start touching the barrel or make the new form fitted area raised anywhere. I'm not a gunsmith either, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn express last night.
