took all my toys to the range last saturday, along with my brother and son. neither had shot any guns. 2 .22, 1 mosin. 1 458 socom, a sig misq and a berswa 380. thw mosin and 458 were new and i had not shot either one. any hoo we shot around with the .22s got everyone aquianted,and then out comes the big guns.i loaded the mosin and the mag for the socom, lifted the mosin to the ole shoulder picked out a target and let one fly. boy did i look like the cat that just swallowed the mouse. i picked the the 458 squeezed the trigger, man did it kick. at that point i had everyones attention at the range. 
of course i let everyone who wanted to shoot the 485 have a go at it. i said all that just to say you fellas was right the mosin is a blast to shoot. there is something about phone books being luanched thru the air. dont get me wrong i love my .22s but i couldnt stop pulling the trigger of that ole mosin and 458. 458 kept kicking me though, left me with a red spot she did.
