DAN WESSON COMMANDER CLASSIC BOBTAIL .45 ACP, UNFIRED - a 4.25” series 70 style, commander sized 1911 featuring a stainless steel frame and forged stainless steel slide. Like all Dan Wesson 1911s, Commander models incorporate top quality parts from the best names in the industry: Forged, one piece match grade barrel and bushing. Ed Brown Bobtail mainspring housing. Hand polished flat surfaces with contrasting bead blasted rounds. Beveled magwell. All sharp edges dehorned by hand. Lowered and flared ejection port. Ed Brown memory groove grip safety. Ed Brown slide stop. Wolff springs used exclusively. Tuned, machined, internal extractor. This pistol comes with both the stock diamond checkered coco-bolo grips as well as custom burl (maple, I think) grips by "Sarge". I believe Sarge is now retired. Includes two magazines, manual, DW non-marring plastic barrel bushing wrench & hard shell carrying case. This pistol has never been fired by a customer (it was test-fired at the factory) - see photo of barrel hood - I bought this new around 2009. $1700 cash firm. No trades.
