hello: I use to have a hand gun permit,back in the 1990`s i noticed on the apps. that there is a question that say`s have you ever had a permit, if so, they want to know what year and the number of the permit. I have no idea of the exact year, or any of the permit number. Will this hurt my chances of getting the permit? thank you

I can't tell you for certain but as long as you are still a proper person, it should make no difference. I would just tell the truth. Yes, year if known, number not known.

You can always call ISP Firearms Division and ask if you need it, and if so, I'm sure they can provide you with the information.

No it will not. I had one but could only provide the year. I was not able to provide the number.
