another thread in this section got me wondering what the right answer is. I seem to remember someone telling me (or reading somewhere), that Indiana residents could purchase ammo in IL and dont need a FOID card. The thread in question seems to say otherwise.

So does anyone know what the correct answer is? I live 15 minutes from Marshall, IL, and go there on occasion. Would love to know if Im able to purchase ammo in that state or not.

    thanks,

I am also from Terre Haute and frequent Marshall every few days. When you go in to purchase ammunition just state that you are an Indiana resident and show them your drivers license for proof of age and you are good to go.
