BCM 03 MSF chest rig: (update with review inside)

Well I just pulled the trigger on the BCM 03 MSF in coyote.

I looked at several different options and my decision was not easy. It's hard to shop for this stuff over the internet without first looking at it, all you have to go on is other's reviews. The intended purpose for the rig is for classes. I am taking an EAG 3 day course this summer and possibly an LMS course as well.

I wanted something that could carry 3-4 mags, had a built in admin pouch for notes extra ear plugs etc.., had the capability of a hydro carrier, and an easy on off system. I also needed the ability to attach a few positol pouches, dump bag, and trauma kit. The BCM that I choose has the least real estate for the extra pouches but I think it will work. My intended end use may vary from yours as I am a citizen shooter.

I looked the the Eagel M4 LE, the ATS M4 modular, BCM 03 MSF, and US grunt gear.

Eagle Pros: Eagle M4 Chest Rig, LE 3 Mag
*Low cost (69 dollars from SKD)
*Lots of space to add pouches
*Internal map pocket for course info/notes etc..

    Cons:
    *No Hydro carrier
    *Non H style harness
*Really the only two I could come up with
*Not really a con but only 3 mag capable

ATS Pros: ATS M4 Modular Chest Harness
*4 Mags (usually load up for most classes, the intened use of the rig)
    *H Harness
    *Ability to add Hydro pack

    Cons:
    *Price at 109
*No internal map pocket/admin pocket (again might come in handy for classes)
*Have to purchase seperate harness for hydro carrier

BCM 03 MSF Pros: BCM 03 Modular Split Front Chest Harness (03 MSF)
*Looks easy to put on with the split front design, wears like a vest
*Hydro pack included (sans bladder which I already have from a camebak)
    *4 Mag capable
    *Internal map pocket/admin pouch
*Hydro is easily removed (or at least appears)

    Cons:
*Less real estate to attach pouches
*Price at 179 (comes out to be aboue the same as the ATS with Hydro)
*New to market, I'm sure BCM will stand behind it if something rips/breaks

US Grunt Gear Pros: M16/M4 Rapid Response Ligth Tripple Mag Chest Rig
    *Cost ($89)
*Comes standard with X harness but can be changed to H harness

    Cons:
*No admin pouch (it's a weak Con but something I wanted to meet my needs)
    *No Hydro pouch
*3 Mags which is ok as 4th pouch could be added.

Again, this was my choice based on my inteded uses. YMMV.

I have not seen a official "range report" from anyone other the USMC03, so I am excited to get this in and check it out.
