The safety net was designed to assist in an instance where a mistake has been made. Being that young with that many kids is not a mistake, it's FRAUD! Why do we as a society reward continued bad behavior? If the kids need foster care, a family member shouldn't be financially rewarded for doing so! A judge somewhere should have her kids taken away, the granny and herself jailed, and she should be rendered non-child bearing! If any other kids are born there should not be increased financial aid and definitely not to a relative.

Maybe welfare should limit the amount of children that they are willing to cover or lend a hand out to. Bet you that if they did this, that would stop them from doing ridiculous things like this. I was thinking of putting them in work camps once the family got past 3 government-dependent children. Might as well get our money's worth out of them if we're going fascist.

Wow, I didn't know that. I could understand maybe 22 for those who are in college and not working full-time, but not 26.

I understand everyones frustration with this. Where are the father's of these babies? Why aren't they held responsible and made to support their children? I'm just saying it takes two to make a child. A women isn't the only one responsible to birth control. If you don't want to be responsible for a child, then don't plant your seed in what you think is unfertilze ground(she's taking birth control pills).

The Dr. may check out and may have wrote it. But I'm calling BS. IL does not give $1500 a month for foster children. It ranges between $361-445 a mo, depending on age. I would be surprised if things like this didn't happen, but stick to the facts.

Also I don't know for sure, but most states have a limit on how many children one family can foster. IN just theirs theirs, I believe it is a maximum of 5 children in the home, including the foster families own children ie If you have 3 kids, you can foster 2, if you have 4, you can foster 1, if you have 5 you cannot foster at all. This goes into effect in July.
