saw some guys out bowfishing today on the White River today.

sure. every time the river floods and i can float around for hours on end in zero current..

I'm ready here too! My bows (compound and recurve) are rigged and ready to go. I'm just waiting to heal from knee surgery, then I'll be out there sticking them every chance I get.

Saw a show that was talking about the Asian Carp invasion.
These fish are apparently very sensitive to noise and start jumping out of the water when they hear boat noise.
These two guys were sitting in the back of the boat while someone drove the boat. They were shooting their bows at fish as they were popping out of the water.

It looked like a great time!

Looking to try it this year, if I can get my second-hand bow set up.

Unfortunately, was reminded that I have to make sure I'm out of city limits, which sucks, because DNR regs specifically allow bowfishing up to the south side of the lowhead dam on E. Fork White River in Columbus, however the south side of that dam is still in city limits, and there's an ordinance prohibiting shooting a bow in town.

dont know , thats the hard part, not trying to dump money into it becasue thats part of the reason i love it to begin with is it can be really cheap if you let it , hoping to find a cheap second hand bow i love , but we shall see

Everytime I watch those videos I imagine having a shotgun and just blasting away at them. Oh how fun that would be.

i bought a PSE kingfisher last year to bowfish with and can't stand it(the bow that is). I didn't wanna use my matthews to go out in the river with! I've seen some guys out the last couple of weeks shooting off bridges though.

I could kick myself for not taking my bowfishing rig out to the river when i was fishing the other day right at dusk had tons of carp feeding in the shallows with their backs out of the water. It dont get easier than that.
