I'm sure that this has been covered before, was wondering where people get their powder for reloading, best prices and in quantity...I was trying to decide if I wanted to bite the bullet as it were, and mail order, but there is that extra Haz-Mat charge. MC sports has an alright selection, but I was looking to get 5-8# of HP 38, and they don't carry it. Any opinions or info? Thanks.

You could go in half-and-half with me on shipping and hazmat for an order from Powder Valley (Powder Valley, Inc.). I need 8-lbs of HP-38 too, and maybe some Solo 1000. Also, the wolf primers they have for $90 per 5K are excellent - really soft, easy to ignite, kind of like Federals. I need to buy some more of those too.

+1 for Powder Valley. One of the keys to saving money by rolling your own is finding deals and planning ahead. If you think you need 5k primers, buy 10 or 15 if you can afford it. Same goes for powder, brass and bullets.

Since your in Bloomington that would be great! I'll send you a PM and maybe we can hook up and set up an order. I know the real savings is in volume ordering...Thanks
