OK, so 7th Stepper has been plotting the demise of my waistline for a while now, and I can't do a bloody thing about it.... The woman's a hell of a cook, what can I say?.... but tonight, she crafted something I am moved to post about:
She made a meatloaf. Her normal recipe, which is written nowhere and would be ignored if it was, to which she added, yes, bacon. You can buy the little baggies of cooked, real bacon, in pieces, and she added four of those baggies to the recipe.
To accompany this, she added a pan of asparagus, cooked to perfection, with, yes, more bacon nirvana.
We had some potatoes au gratin here that made a nice rounding-out of the meal... and I am now pleasantly full. At the time, I was uncomfortably full, as I ate more of it than I should have, the evil temptress having beguiled me with bacon... We actually do have leftovers, though I do not expect that that will be the case for long.
And before anyone says "", sorry, don't have any.
Da*n, it was good, though.
Blessings,
Bill
