Has anyone ever had to replace a bent mag tube on an old a5, savage 720, or rem 11? Ive heard that some may be silver soldered while others may just have locktite on them. Does anyone have any first hand experience?

By old, I'm assuming Belgian? I know that at least up to the 464,000 serial range, mid fifties, they were all threaded. I don't know if this carries on up until the Miroku days or not. If it's threaded, you will need to make a 3-4" long metal plug which fits the ID of the tube very closely. Slide that into the tube, clamp in a barrel vise, and you can tap lightly on the receiver to get it to move,[leather hammer best]. If you're truly not worried about damaging the old tube, you could be less careful with it.
    Luck,
    Jim
