    So...... A dumb question. When you are installing the parts kit into an AR15 lower, the hammer comes with a tiny spring/clip installed. The pin has a corresponding groove. this is a detent intending to retain the pin? Now! How do you install the pin with its very square end to push past the spring/clip? My pin stops dead against the clip and thats that. How do you install this pin please?

    The hammer pin and trigger pin are both the same and though it seems like it’s not that noticeable have a slight bevel to both their ends. These slight bevels along with the fact the J wire is rounded and flexes will allow the pin to go through.
    If it’s that stiff and you don’t want to use a light tap to get it through, my advice would be remove the hammer from the lower and drive a pin through to ensure it’s not frozen or at least to see how much pressure it’s gonna require to push the pin theough. Also, a small enough scratch all or anything thin enough with a bevel, such as a small Phillips screwdriver, make great on the fly install tools.
