I suppose that all Amazon customers received the email that I did, the Amazon Smile program is being discontinued next month. For those unfamiliar with it, Amazon has a list of eligible charities, any one which you can choose, and Amazon made a donation equal to 0.5% of your purchases to that organization.

I understand that it was unwieldy, and the fact that it lasted almost 10 years is a surprise to me. So Amazon is now going to focus its philanthropy on fewer entities, making a bigger impact on each. "Housing Equity Fund", "Future Engineers" "Community Delivery Program" are some. But in every case, only people in what Amazon deems as " "underserved"
