Advice To Tea Partiers

The CATO Institute has a nice short video for Tea Partiers to think about. It's basically five bullet points.

1. Republicans aren’t always your friends.
2. Some tea partiers like big government.
3. Democrats aren’t always your enemies.
4. Smaller government demands restraint abroad.
5. Leave social issues to the states.

Lots to think about there, especially since the gop and many of their allies are currently trying their level best to hijack the TP movement.

Can't say I disagree. In my dealings with the Porter County Republicans, I have seen how they supported raising our taxes to expand passenger railroads a few months back. The Northwest Indiana Patriots were actively campaigning against it, and the one elected official who helped us stop the tax hike was County Commissioner Bob Harper, a democrat.
