I am watching CBS evening news, and they are saying that he was in "compettion" with another "shooter" from Norway... Trying to top his count of 77 dead.....

The important part of the story is this:
and targeted Sandy Hook Elementary because it was the "easiest target."
    http://www.officer.com/news/1088108...terest-in-deadly-norway-attack-spark-massacre
Schools and the island in Norway have become easy targets because they are legal victim zones, and there is a delay in the beginning of an attack and the action to cease it.

And as I've stated before legal victim zones have a standard response policy of huddle in a big group to make easier targets:
killed all but one student in Rousseau's class, where the children were massed together in a back corner of the room near a bathroom. One girl escaped because she played dead and ran out of the room after Lanza left.

As long as we keep making easy targets criminals will keep exploiting them, be it an unlocked car GPS theft by a druggie looking for quick cash, or a sociopath looking to do as much harm as possible before being confronted. Unfortunately the politicians want to make all people easier targets, rather than toughen up the ones they've already weakened the defenses for, as political sociopaths don't mind trading lives for headlines.

    In my opinion...
The news should merely state that the shooting happened.
They should not repeat it every 5 minutes for weeks.
They should not speak the shooter's name.

Every time you say or post that mother****er's name you give him more of the fame and legacy he wanted.

Winner winner chicken dinner. This is EXACTLY why we are seeing these things on the rise. Instant fame, attention, and notoriety, which in many cases, these shooters never recieved.

I know this is a poor analogy, but if a child whines for something, rather than ask for it correctly, what does the parent's response encourage?

If the response is to ignore the undesired behavior (whining) and reward the desired behavior (asking politely) the behavior will typically begin to be corrected.

However, if the whining is rewarded by attention, and even by giving them what they want, that behavior is reinforced and continues to be displayed.

If I had "The Power," the bodies all those who perpetuate such acts would be taken, cremated, and their ashes flushed down a commode and they allowed no monument or memorial by their families. Their lives should end in ignominy and anonymity.

Without infringing on the 1st, it's tough not to wish a bill would be introduced that allowed these pieces of garbage to be only referred to as "the coward".

Yeah, screw Adam Lanzas, Dad, brother and any other family that he had, maybe they should be locked up for even being related to him or maybe even loving him like another family member.

    Guilt by association.
    Don't believe in it.
Bad kids can come from good parents.
You can try to get someone help. Doesn't mean it's going to work.

???? Then in that retrospect all white people are to blame for slavery, all gun owners are responsible for crimes, women are to blame for rapists, and utensils made me fat. People need to stop speaking out of emotion. No offense.
