Hi Folks!
Spring is here and with it comes warmer weather and longer daylight hours! We are about to begin our 7th season of .22 Long Range Rimfire matches, first event is this coming Wednesday, March 29.
With sunset at about 8pm and a forecast of overcast skies, we will start this match a bit early at 4:30 pm for the local or retired guys and any latecomers can jump in as they arrive. Format will be the popular "20 Straight" to get us started on the new season with a non-classifier. Shooters get a 2 minute sighter period with each of the 3 distance changes. As before, entry fees are $15 for adults, $10 for stand-alone juniors, and juniors with paid adult are free.
Range set-up will be about 3:30pm.
Weekend events will be the 2nd Saturday each month except July (3rd Sat). Our Fall Classic match is Sept 9-10.
A quick reminder that these matches are loosely set around gear you would likely have on a varmint or prairie dog hunt in the field, with exception of the shooting bench that we allow. Front bipod allowed, rear of gun must be shouldered without sandbag or other artificial support, 5 round maximum capacity in your mags, cannot load your rifle until "FIRE" command is given.
