That is a very good bag, but to my eye it still looks kind of tactical. I prefer the Savior Pro Touring Tactical Tennis Bag in fashion colors like blue and red.
As a former Police Officer I can tell you that cops have not cornered the market on Common Sense. There were many, many times I had to bite my tongue in the squad room, as well as with a partner in the patrol car. Just like any work situation, I think.
I think what others have posted gives you a lot of good feedback, and the velocity data posted by DadSmith is very revealing. Generally, the M855 and M193 bullets are not reliably lethal below 2,500fps. Some operators do go to 300 AAC Blackout to gain more terminal energy using SBR and Pistol...
Sincere condolences on the loss of your father. Unless he had some NFA Registered items, then all of his C&R acquisitions should be OK for you to receive in-state. C&R licensees usually---repeat usually---have that type of FFL so that they can directly receive and ship 50YO+ firearms out of...
Excellent suggestion! If the original armory had a mix of guns, then rear handle sight bases could have been ignorantly swapped. Photos might help the group advise further.
Agreed 100%. A 223Rem or 5.56NATO would only be the gun of choice for feral hogs if there was absolutely no other gun available to an ethical hunter. An AR15 with an Upper chambered in 6.8 SPC, 300 AAC Blackout, 7.62x39mm, 350 Legend, 450 Bushmaster, or similar, would be much preferred unless...
Could you have a canvas holster pocket sewn into the bibs? I had that done to all of my uniform pants when I worked as a Police Officer, and carried a Colt .38 Det Special as a BUG.
Midway says these are expected to be available late July (2022) and OpticsPlanet will accept a Back Order. I suppose you might already have known this, though?? Good luck & stay safe!
Your photos are quite good. The staking looks too slight. I suggest you take a cold chisel and hit 'em again so that both the key and the bolt heads have clear marks in them. Good luck & stay safe!
You just gotta love how the ATF Tech Branch issues a ruling that sends you down a path, then pulls the rug out from under you by changing their mind. Very rude.
I echo what ACC and flightsimme said, buy a new 18½" Moss 500 barrel or just cut it yourself. Buying a barrel will give you a pre-installed front sight. If you do DIY cut it, then buying or borrowing a facing cutter will make it look pretty. Good luck & stay safe!
