Bad batch of .22 Stinger ammo?

I bought a used S&w Model 41 several years ago after about a 30 year layoff from pistol shooting. (I had shot matches with one in the 1960's The accuracy was terrible with CCI Standard Velocity. A CS rep at S&W told me that the gun was originally designed for Remington Standard Velocity but was...

I have bought my last gun

I'll be 93 in 2 weeks and I bought a gun last week. I still shoot, too. Thank the Lord for red dots.

      Jump on it or Pass?

I haqave been shooting a (an?) STI 9mm Trojan for many years. Incredibly accurate, tight, smooth, great trigger. STI is great if you can find one. Grab it!

      Elderly shooters

I forgot to add that I am no longer able to shoot a revolver accurately. The arthritis in my right hand keeps me from cocking the gun and I am all over the place double action. Just something to consider.

      Elderly shooters

I am not really what you would call elderly (92 come April) but I regularly shoot the following: Kimber 1911 frame with an Advantage arms .22lr conversion. (incredibly accurate} STI Trojan 1911 9mm {incredibly accurate} Sig P322 (not incredibly accurate but fun} Sig 320 M17 9mm. (very good...

      Light it up or not?

One of the lights in my bedroom turns on from a remote switch that I keep under my pillow. I got the switch on Amazon. If this has a disadvantage, I haven't thought of it.

      Check your batteries@

Would you save enough money to make it worth the risk ? I am cheap but not that cheap.

      Check your batteries@

I was in the camera repair business from 1969 until I retired in 1994. We ren into so many cases of leaky Duracells we referred to it as "the Duracell disease". We wound up using Energizers and Varta with no problem, A few years ago I was given a remote reading weather station. When I went to...

      Glock 19 build issues

I ran into the same thing with a Sig P229 factory RMR slide. A long optic mounting screw was binding the extractor. Shortening the screw solved the problem.

      22LR Pistol Purchase recommendations

You can make a major improvement to the Buckmark trigger be flipping the sear spring over.

      22LR Pistol Purchase recommendations

I shot the S&W 41 for close to 60 years but it got too muzzle heavy for me. The Accurate Arms target for the 1911 is just as accurate for me. I used the iron sights for about a year and then put the optics setup on it. If you want to shoot std. velocity ammunition you would need their reduced...

Anyone reloading .357 Sig? Tips, recipes?

Sorry about misidentifying the 124 gr. Nosler bullet. Blame it on my advanced years.

Anyone reloading .357 Sig? Tips, recipes?

I just checked Midwayusa and they show Nosler 124 gr. jhp at about $73 and change for quantity 250. Personally, I wouldn't use plated bullets at magnum velocities. If you are ever in my area I would be happy to give you a couple dozen Noslers to try. I don't drive anymore or shoot magnums due...

Anyone reloading .357 Sig? Tips, recipes?

As a big fan of .357 Sig, I spent time researching the requirements. The big thing is thr bullet. It needs to have a short nose and a long body. This is because of the very short neck of the .357 Sig case. The Nosler 125gr. JHP is perfect. I settled on 11.1 gr. of AA #7. This is one step down...

Anyone on here have experience with the FN 509?

Take a look at a Masada. Best trigger I have ever felt on a striker fired gun.

      Winchester mystery house

I lived in San Jose in the 1960s and was to the Winchester house several times with family and visiting relatives. The place was fascinating every time. The visit is very worthwhile if you are in the area.

      Sig P322 22LR

Take a look at a Holosun circle/dot. I love them and can still shoot small groups at 91. Most important: don't give up.
