I’ve got two in Noblesville schools currently. The 7th grader dislikes school but that is her personality and a side effect of the Covid shutdown. Our Sophomore is okay with the high school. The education seems to be good. Both are in the advanced program
When we moved here 12 years ago this was a major factor for us. We looked at the Good School ratings and most of the schools on the North and Northwest side are pretty good. I’ve gotten to know parents from most of the towns and they all seem pleased with most of the schools from including HSE...
After going through several of the micro compacts I realized that my hands are simply too large for them. I really like the M&P Subcompact which is similar to a Glock 26. The larger grip gives me something to hold onto. It can use any of the 9 mm M&P mags.
I recommend going to a range with a decent set of rental guns and trying them out. I’ve switched from Shield to J Frame to P365 to Shield Plus. I also have large hands. The subcompact’s are a compromise for me. I like the size to carry but feel as they are small for my hands. The slides on both...
I finally picked one up this week. I went to an indoor range to try it out. I am impressed by the FPC so far. I sighted it in today at 60 feet, not optimal but as far as the range would allow. The lower two pairs are as I worked the red dot in. I went through all three mags using the rest to...
I have the Subcompact that I purchased before the Shield Plus came out. I like it but carry the SP most of the time. I’m pretty much stuck on the M&P 2.0’s. I tried to like other brands but have always come back to the M&P’s. They feel more natural in my hands.
Thank you for the responses. They helped me get started.
After trying a couple of things I finally turned the slide over, duh, the hole goes all the way through the slide. From the bottom I was able to use a small drill bit and back the screw stub out. I put the original cover back on and the...
I just got back from a quick range trip and cleaned my Shield Plus. As I was putting it back together I noticed that my Holosun was shifting around. Looking through the screw hole it looks like it is snapped off. I have only used the tool that came with the sight to tighten the screws so I do...
Like a few others I carried the Shield 1 for quite a while. I then went to the P365 for capacity. While it felt good to hold, one issue I had was it seemed to rotate while shooting. I also had a challenge as I needed to change my grip as I would accidentally hit the slide release after shooting...
This is a good report on the food safety aspects. I would recommend checking the nutrients listed on the tag and comparing them to established guidelines for the nutrients. As a former nutritionist for a feed company I really disliked the feed and mineral supplements at TSC as they were...
It looked a lot different last week. I hit some really sloppy roads in Kansas. After sitting in the rain, driving back, an hour with the power washer, and 2 trips through a car wash I got in this shape.
After a year of owning my JK I got my lift installed today. I went with a 2.5” dual sport AEV. I am more than pleased with the way it handles. I’ve added the beginning and current pictures of it. I’m running 33” KO2’s. Maybe one day I’ll come up with a name for it.
I just added new wheels and tires to the JK. I went with Mickey Thompson wheels and KO2 tires. I stuck with 33” as this is my daily driver. I put about 1200 mile already this week with a work trip.
The main reason I was looking at having it done was time more than anything. I’m fairly certain I can do it based on the YouTube clips I’ve watched. Even buying a floor jack and stands I’ll be a lot of money ahead to do it myself
Stopped in a local shop today to get a quote on a lift. They wanted over $4k for a Rubicon Express 2.5” install with a bunch of extras. Everything from drag links to axel seals at the same time. They wanted to do an inspection first to see what all needs to be done and this was the most I could...
